Lake Powell June 2009

I think it's official, we have made the Lake Powell trip in June an annual trip. For the last three years we have gone the second week of June to Lake Powell. We took MaCee along and had a great time. the Bush family, the Simpsons, Coles and Beardalls were there too.

Steve and Bonnie Come to Visit (Grandpa Payne)

We don't get to see Steve and Bonnie very much. It's a long way between here and Michigan. They came to visit us this May and we had to take pictures to prove they were here.

Happy 19th Birthday Dalton!

We had a great day today, the sun was shining and it felt good enough to be outside without a jacket on. More like Spring should feel. Last Tuesday we got more than 6 inches of snow!
Took Dalton to Tucanos for dinner and then came back to the house to have cake and ice cream. It's all just for show, none of us could eat anymore. MaCee came with us and celebrated. We wouldn't know how to have a birthday celebration without her! Especially not Dalton's birthday!

Easter 2009

Scott and I have been doing real good on changing our bad eating habits. We have worked hard at it and have been on a program that restricts all the bad carbs and fats. The good ones we can still have within reason. Well to get to the point... We haven't had icecream and cookies and breads and potato chips around the house to tempt us. Dalton and Cody have suffered many nights having to go buy their own shakes and snacks because we just don't have it here. (daarehhed!)
So what do you get grown boys for Easter in this situation??? Icecream. They have never been so excited to have this frozen tastey treat! Happy Easter boys! Eat it fast!

Scott and I went to Mexico with some real good friends, Don and Deb Bushman.
The weather was really nice and we were able to go and see all of the sights that we wanted to. We went on a tour of the Coba and Tulum Mayan Ruins, Went to Rio Secreto (an underground river that was a cave, with all the stalagmites and stalactites), We took the fairy over to Cozumel and went snorkling and of course we ate everything that we shouldn't have. The resort we stayed at was all inclusive so why not, right?

Cody's 15th Birthday

Cody turned 15 on the 25th this month. He's old enough to get a learners permit now so everyone BEWARE! I hope he had a good day, It's hard to tell with Cody, he doesn't get too excited about anything.
MaCee came to help us celebrate, We went to Chili's for dinner, had the Paradise Pie for desert, then came home to have presents and the cake was just a prop. Had to have him blow out his candles and make a wish!! We had already had the cake and Ice cream at Chili's
